Have You Ever Been Star Struck?

Living in NYC you see a fair share of celebrities in your daily life. You learn to play it cool and act like it's no big thing...that is the New Yorker in me...however when I ran into her at Isabel's ballet yesterday  the Mid-Westerner in me wanted to call everyone I knew... Who was it? Did I act a fool?

Find out after the jump!

Yesterday I not only sat in the same room with Sarah Jessica Parker...but we exchanged words! It went something like this:

We were running late for ballet. I arrived in a fluster and hurriedly took Isabel's coat off and put her ballet shoes and skirt on...I wasn't paying attention to who was in the waiting room until all of a sudden I heard this familiar voice say how cute Stella was. I looked up and it was Sara Jessica Parker talking to her nanny about my daughter! I couldn't help but smile and politely said... wait...here it comes..."Thank You!"

I played it super cool...I finished getting Isabel ready...swept Stella up and off to the ballet classroom we went. As I made my way back to the waiting room I casually passed by SJP (we're so tight now I can abbreviate her name) and went about my business as if it was no big thing! After leaving the building I quickly called Gina and Valentino to tell them the story! Of course neither answered.

As I made my way back to the building, shrieks could be heard throughout...as the Ballerinas who had just finished class spotted her too! I cringed at the way they were behaving... there were a mob of gawkers now formed around her...I never really thought about how difficult it must be to do the simplest of things as a celebrity. I wouldn't want that kind of life...well maybe...

So there you have it...Valentino said I should have gotten a photo with her to put on my blog...I thought of that but that would have been so expected...I am proud of how I handled myself.

Now...if I could just figure out how to get Isabel to befriend her daughters so we can have a play date!
